1 killed in bus and 5 vehicles collision near Kotwal Garden in Mumbai

Mumbai: A 22-25 year old man reportedly lost his life in a road accident in which a bus collided with 5 vehicles from behind near Kotwal Garden at 9.30 AM in Mumbai, Maharashtra today.
The person on arrival at the hospital was declared dead by the doctors that received the man and had to treat him.
The vehicle was Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) electric bus and the incident occurred when the bus driver lost its control and collided into 5 vehicles from behind. The vehicles that were involved in the incident are Activa two-wheeler, 1 Electric bike, 1 Taxi, Baleno & 1 Electric car.
Following the incident, the four persons who got injured in the incident are identified as rider of the Activa, an electric bike & bus conductor. They were rushed to Sion Hospital for medical treatment.

Following the incident, the local Mumbai police took the bus driver into custody.
This is not the first time that BEST buses are involved in such incidents. Multiple accidents have taken place before. Last year, a pedestrian, an elderly woman, delivery boy and a three-year-old girl became the victim of the BEST buses.
Further investigation into this matter is underway.
