Odisha vigilance arrests Kendrapada forest ranger in DA case

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Thursday have arrested Rabindra Kumar Nayak, Forest Ranger of Kendrapada Forest Range for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The arrest followed simultaneous searches at properties linked to Nayak, during which Vigilance officials unearthed assets that were disproportionate to his known sources of income.

These include a palatial four-storeyed building measuring 7,038 square feet, another building, six high-value plots, 283 grams of gold, cash of Rs. 2.14 lakhs, bank deposits worth Rs. 76 lakhs, and one four-wheeler.
A case has been registered against him at Kataka Vigilance Police Station (Case No. 25/2026) under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018. Investigation into the matter is continuing.
