Kalingatv Impact: Excise SI Chayakant Nayak transferred over third degree torture on youth in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Due to Impact of KalingaTV, Pattamundai Excise Sub-Inspector (SI) Chayakant Nayak has been transferred to District Headquarters over third degree torture on youth in Kendrapara district.

Binod Kumar Das, a resident of Baradia village of Rajnagar was allegedly given third degree torture at the police station and even complaints were made to the District collector along with Chief Minister and Rajnagar police station.

The effect comes after the news was continuously broadcasted at KalingaTV,following which the Excise department took action.

Meanwhile, SI Pradeep Kumar Malik and Constable Ramakrushna Jena has been transferred to Aul Excise Department.

Binod had earlier informed the Excise Department about the alleged illicit liquor business. Subsequently, SI Chhayakanta Nayak and other excise personnel conducted a raid at the location. During the operation, Binod allegedly recorded a video of the proceedings.

The youth claimed that excise officials became upset over the video recording, took him into custody, and assaulted him inside a vehicle.
