Pune: A tragic incident took place in which a toddler falls into rainwater-filled sewage pit and dies in Pune.

The toddler who died after falling into rainwater-filled sewage pit is identified as a two-year-old boy Soham Lakhan Kasbe from Pune.

The incident took place when Soham was playing outside his house during the morning. During the play till he reportedly fell into the pit, it was not guarded or barred.

People are saying that 4 holes were dug for sewage and rainwater drains. But the holes were left open with no fences, warning signs, or covers to keep people safe.

Because there were no safety measures, it’s dangerous – someone could fall in and get hurt, especially when the pits fill with rainwater.

A case has been registered by the Pune police against a contractor following this matter.

Further investigation into this matter is underway.
