All schools, colleges in Subarnapur to remain closed until June 20 due to heat wave conditions

Subarnapur: In view of the prevailing heatwave conditions across Subarnapur, the district administration has announced that all Anganwadi Centres, schools, colleges, technical institutions and other educational institutions in the district will remain closed until June 20.

According to an official order issued by the District Collector on June 17, all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs), Schools, Colleges, Technical Institutions, and other educational institutions will remain closed until June 20.However, examinations scheduled during this period will continue as per the existing timetable. The administration has directed that examinations be conducted preferably in the morning hours to minimize students’ exposure to extreme heat.

The order also instructs heads of all institutions to ensure availability of sufficient safe drinking water and implement necessary heat-wave safety measures for students and staff.

“As the heat wave condition continues to persist in Subarnapur District, it is hereby ordered that all the Anganwadi Centers (AWCs), Schools, Colleges, Technical Institutions and other educational institutions will remain closed until Dt.20.06.2026”, read the notification.
