7 killed after car plunges into gorge in Chamba of Himachal Pradesh

Shimla: All the seven occupants of the SUV car lost their lives on the spot after it got plunged into deep gorge on the Masrund-Hamal route in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba.

The incident reportedly occurred when lost control while driving and fell into a deep gorge. They people inside were returning home from after attending a religious ceremony.

The victims of this accident are identified as seven persons, three women and three men and the driver.

Following the incident, the police personnel, officials of district administration and local residents present at the spot assembled at the accident spot. They launched relief and rescue operations.

The bodies of the deceased persons were recovered from the gorge. The officials are investigating what lead to such an accident.

Further investigation into this matter is underway.
