IMD issues light to moderate rain warning for Odisha for five more days

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued light to moderate rainfall warnings for Odisha for five more days.

The weather department issued yellow warning while forecasting thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind for several districts of Odisha.

Check the day-wise warnings of IMD for Odisha:

Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of July 9):

  • YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind (wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Angul, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhan.
  • Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over all the districts of Odisha.

Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM of July 9 to 8.30 AM of July 10):

  • YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind (wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Sundargarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.
  • Light to Moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over all the districts of Odisha.

Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 AM of July 10 to 8.30 AM of July 11):

  • YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind (wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Boudh.
  • Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over all the districts of Odisha.

Day 4 (Valid from 8.30 AM of July 11 to 8.30 AM of July 12):

  • YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind (wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj.
  • Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Odisha.

Day 5  (Valid from 8.30 AM of July 13 to 8.30 AM of July 14):

  • YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind (wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
  • Light to Moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Odisha.
