Four dead in two separate road accidents in Odisha

Baragarh: At lest four people lost their lives in two separate road mishaps reported from Odisha’s Bargarh and Sundargarh districts on Tuesday.

In Baragarh, two bikers lost their lives after the bike they were riding on rammed into the rear side of a truck parked on the road on National Highway-53 near Saranda Gate under Attabira police station limits.

The deceased have been identified as Soumya Ranjan Khamari of Dunguripada in Sambalpur and Gopabandhu Parida from the Sadar police station area.

As per reports, a truck was parked on the road when the two men travelling on their motorcycle crashed into it. Both died on spot due to the impact.

On being informed, police reached the spot and seized the truck and the motorcycle. However, the truck driver is reportedly absconding. Further investigation is underway.

In another incident, two drivers were burnt to death on Biju Expressway in Kaintara of Sundargarh district.

Reportedly, two eighteen-wheeler trawlers collided head-on and immediately caught fire. Due to the strong impact, respective drivers of the trawlers were killed on spot.

The identity of the drivers remains unknown.
