Bhubaneswar Sundarpada bomb blast case: Another accused arrested

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development in the Sundarpada bomb blast case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday arrested another accused from Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

This development came after nearly seven months after the blast at Azad Nagar in Sundarpada, Bhubaneswar.

According to reports, the arrested individual has been a resident of Patia in Bhubaneswar. NIA is suspecting that he may have been involved in supplying the explosives that caused the blast.

The explosion occurred on January 27 while bombs were allegedly being assembled, resulting in the deaths of two people. Earlier, an NIA team visited Azad Nagar to conduct an on-ground investigation as part of the probe.

The prime accused in the case, Sehenbaz Mallik alias Mafi, and his mother later died while undergoing treatment following the incident.

NIA continues to investigate the case.
