The Government of Odisha is rolling out a major 10-day campaign called ‘Subhadra Shakti Samavesh,’ set for June 21 to June 30, 2026. Mission Shakti is leading the charge, and every Gram Panchayat in the state will take part. To make sure everything runs smoothly, Odisha’s Deputy Chief Minister, Pravati Parida, held a virtual high-level review with district and field officials. They joined the meeting at Mission Shakti Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday—coinciding with the final day of the Raja festival—where she told everyone to finish their local preparations right away.

The core objective of Subhadra Shakti Samavesh is all about uplifting women’s groups by building more awareness on sustainable livelihoods and socioeconomic development. Over those 10 days, members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) will get hands-on guidance on crucial topics: financial inclusion, advanced skill training, market connections, and the many government welfare schemes available. A key goal here is clear—speed up the creation of ‘Lakhpati Didis’ and ‘Mahalakhpati Didis,’ helping women in rural Odisha gain real economic independence.

After the main review, Deputy Chief Minister Parida met with the Mission Shakti Community Support Staff (CSS) in the conference hall. More than 300 CSS members from all 30 districts showed up. Parida opened with Raja festival greetings, then called the team the department’s true backbone. She praised their hard work, dedication, and efficiency, pointing out that their efforts bring government schemes to the ground level. Thanks to their work, Odisha now holds the top spot in the country for outstanding work efficiency.
