Hotel manager arrested for rape attempt of Bengal woman in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate police have arrested a hotel manager for allegedly attempting to rape a woman from West Bengal at a hotel in Bhubaneswar.

The accused has been identified as Jayant Kumar Nayak.

As per police, the woman, a resident of West-Bengal, had been living in the hotel in the GA colony under Bharatpur police limits.

The incident took place when the woman fell sick and called on to the reception.Taking advantage the situation, the accused allegedly entered the room and attempted to sexually assault her. The woman resisted the attack and later approached the police.

Acting on the complaint, police registered a case, launched an investigation, and apprehended the accused.
