2-Day National CME Workshop on ‘Transplant Pathology’ Concludes at KIMS

Bhubaneswar: A two-day national-level ‘Mid-Term CME Workshop’ organized by the Postgraduate Department of Pathology, KIMS and Pradyumna Bal Memorial Hospital concluded today.

Held under the theme “Transplant Pathology: From Biopsy to Bedside”, the workshop focused on detailed discussions by experts on the role, significance, and current challenges of pathology and biopsy in organ transplant treatment.

Key discussions at the workshop held: Coordination of clinical experience during and after liver, kidney, and bone marrow transplants, accurate analysis of biopsy reports as well as transplant immunology and the role of pathologists and clinicians in it.

Emphasis was also laid on how pathology contributes to making diagnosis and treatment management in organ transplantation more accurate and effective.

Pathologists, nephrologists, hematologists, and transplant specialists from across the country participated in the workshop. They shared their experiences and presented research-based data.
