Subhadra Yojana Instalment to Reach Beneficiaries on Rakhi Purnima in Odisha

Odisha will release the next instalment of financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana on Rakhi Purnima, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced on Friday.

Beneficiaries whose names reach the government through the districts by July 25 will also be included in the upcoming disbursement, Parida said.

The announcement came during the Subhadra Shakti Vision Conference for Developed Odisha 2036, where grassroots-level functionaries involved in women’s empowerment discussed implementation challenges and offered suggestions for strengthening government programmes.

The consultations are also expected to feed into a broader policy exercise. Based on recommendations emerging from such interactions, the Mission Shakti Department will prepare a comprehensive Vision Document for Mission Shakti under the state’s Developed Odisha 2036 initiative.

The proposed document will set out strategies to strengthen the department and widen opportunities for women’s socio-economic empowerment across Odisha.

The latest conference was therefore positioned not only as a forum to discuss immediate implementation concerns but also as an input-gathering exercise for the state’s longer-term women’s empowerment strategy.
