Pakistan air force officer shot dead while trying to save woman

New Delhi: Asim Tariq of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was gunned down in Islamabad after intervening to save a woman from being forcibly abducted in the area near Shaheen Chowk.

According to sources, the man on a motorcycle was trying to force the woman to accompany him on the motorcycle, Asim Tariq stopped his vehicle and rushed to rescue the woman.

As per police, the alleged perpetrator had asked her for a lift, offered a ride to a nearby area, and then tried to take her to a secluded place.

As soon as Tariq reached near the couple and stopped to save her, the accused shot and killed him.

The woman and the alleged culprit were discovered to be coworkers.

Within a few hours, police authorities have arrested the suspected attacker and launched a further investigation into the incident.
