Woman trampled to death as elephant terror continues in Angul

Angul: In a tragic incident, a woman was killed in a wild elephant attack in Odisha’s Angul district on Wednesday morning.

This case has been reported in Sardhapur village of Angul forest range.

The deceased has been identified as Gul Sahu, daughter of Gouranga Sahu of the same village.

As per reports, the woman came in contact with a wild elephant, and the elephant crushed her to death.

On being informed, the forest officials reached the spot to proceed with further legal formalities.

This incident is another example of increasing conflict between man and the animal in the district.

In another similar incident, a woman was trampled to death by a lone tusker while she had gone to attend nature’s call in Limbadihi village under Athmallik police station limits, late on Monday night.
