3 killed after being mowed down by truck in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: At least three persons, who were traveling on a bike, were killed after being mowed down by a speeding truck on National Highway-49 near Kuanra Chhaka in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Sunday.
As informed by sources, three persons were traveling on a bike when the truck, while going on the wrong route, hit them near Kuanra Chhaka under Kanjipani police station limits of the district.
The mishap was so tragic that all trio, who were traveling on the same bike, died on the spot.

While the deceased persons are yet to be identified, Kanjipani police said to have started an investigation into the matter after reaching the spot. They reportedly sent the bodies for postmortem.
Prior to this, two others also had died near Kuanra Chhaka earlier today.
The deaths of five people in two separate road accidents in the same locality on the same day has terrified the villages who requested the administration to inspect whether there is any problem of the road construction, and solve it, if there is any.
