Brahmapur: Youth allegedly assaulted by a gang in locked room for 3 days, video goes viral

Brahmapur: A shocking video that captured a young man being violently beaten up in a locked room has gone viral on social media and attracted police attention in Brahmapur of Odisha’s Ganjam district.

The incident is said to have occurred at Kaukhata village under Masiakhali panchayat in Berhampur Sadar police station limits.

As per the victim, he was allegedly locked in a room for three days and brutally thrashed by a gang of young men.

The victim has been identified as Prashant of Krupasindhupur village.

In the viral video, the young man can be seen pleading to be spared as the miscreants continue to beat him ruthlessly.

The perpetrators can also be seen offering him water before apparently continuing their attack.

Prashant has claimed that he was beaten for not allowing his vehicle to be used for some illegal activities.

He alleged that a man by the name of Shibaram and his gang members of the same village were behind the assault.

The young man has stated that he is in hiding due to the threat and has filed a complaint in the police station to take action against the accused.

No official statement has been made by the police on the incident yet.

Further investigation is underway.
