1 dead, over 10 injured as Puri-Sambalpur bus hits trailer in Sambalpur

Sambalpur: A road accident near Kansar under Jujumura police station limit of Sambalpur district killed at least one passenger and seriously injured over 10 others.

According to sources, the accident took place when a Shri Jagannath bus travelling from Puri to Sambalpur brushed past a trailer parked on the road.

It is also heard that few more people were injured after they sustained injury as their bus was hit.

Later all those injured were taken to Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital in an ambulance for treatment.

However in view of the severity of injuries they have all been taken to VIMSAR, Burla for higher treatment.

The police have reached the scene from Jujumura police station and started to inquire the matter for possible reasons leading to the collision of the vehicles and information of the dead is yet to come.
