Cuttack: Man arrested by Cyber Police for blackmailing girl to make her obscene photo viral

Cuttack: A man has been arrested by the Cyber Police in Cuttack of Odisha for the charge of blackmailing a girl to make her obscene photo viral. The accused is from Barang’s Belgachhia area.

The accused has been identified as Manoj Kumar Das of Belgachhia area under Barang Police Station limits.

As per the information received, the accused was allegedly sending obscene photos to the girl and was abusing her. He even allegedly forcing her to make physical relationship with him.

Accordingly, the girl had lodged a complaint at the Barang police Station in last December and accordingly after investigation Barang Police registered a case on December 1 last year. Later, the cyber police initiated an investigation and the probe was continuing and the culprit was arrested today only.

As per the complaint, the accused also threatened the girl to make her nude photos viral, print them, and put up posters in the village if she refused. He also allegedly threatened to kill her family members and demanded Rs. 3 lakh.
