Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran resigns ahead of AGM: Sources

Mumbai: Tata Sons chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran has resigned from his position, as per sources.This comes ahead of the group’s AGM on August 18, 2026.

N Chandra’s tenure ends in February 2027, and he will not be seeking re-appointment, sources say.

Tata Sons in February postponed a decision on reappointing Chandrasekaran as chairman after Noel Tata, chairman of the group’s charity arm Tata Trusts, opposed the move, Reuters has previously reported.

Chandrasekaran joined the Tata group in 1987, became TCS’ CEO in 2009 before taking over as Tata Sons chair in 2017.
