2 minor boys charred in Odisha’s Boudh district, CM announces ex-gratia
by Himanshu · KalingaTVKantamal: In a tragic incident, as many as two minor boys charred in Boudh district of Odisha on Saturday. The incident took place in the Balkira village under Mundipadar Panchayat in Sadar Block of Boudh district.
Mohan Charan Majhi, Chief Minister of Odisha condoled the sad demise of the two children and announced ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh of each of the boys’ families.
The two kids are uncle and nephew in relation. One of the boys was five year old while the other one was eight year old.
As per reports, one of the boys had gone to Balkira, his maternal uncle’s home for some work. Today due to cold wave condition another boy, who is a uncle of the boy, had somehow set fire to a pile of straw. After the straw pile caught fire the two innocent boys hid themselves in the pile of straw out of fear. Later, as the fire spread, they got charred due to the fire.
After the locals knew about this they rushed the two boys to the Bausuni Community Health Centre by ambulance at 108. Later, as their health condition deteriorated, they were shifted to the District Headquarter hospital of Boudh.
After getting information Baunsuni Police reached the spot and initiated investigation.
