Bhubaneswar: Two critical in sword attack following argument during private company’s feast

Bhubaneswar: Panic gripped the Big Bazaar area under Kharavela Nagar police station limits in Bhubaneswar this evening as youth hacked two persons following a heated argument during the feast of a private company.

According to sources, some employees of a concerned private company were having a feast, a routine social gathering, today. However, an argument broke out among a few individuals present at the event due to some unknown reason.

The verbal altercation soon escalated and turned ugly allegedly after a youth, who is identified as Aditya Pradhan, attacked others with a sword leaving two others- Ramesh Sethi and Amar- severe injured.

As Aditya was going with the sword after hacking Ramesh and Amar, a chaotic situation and fear prevailed on the spot forcing people nearby to flee in panic to save themselves from being hacked.

While both the injured were immediately rushed to the Capital Hospital for treatment, Kharavela Nagar police has initiated an investigation into the crime.

Meanwhile, the incident has once again raised serious concerns over the law and order in the State Capital City.
