Hyderabad: Odia girl killed after being hit by car allegedly driven by Andhra Pradesh MP’s son

Baripada: An Odia girl was killed reportedly after being hit by the car allegedly driven by Lingamaneni Sanjush, the son of Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP Lingamaneni Ramesh.

The victim Odia girl has been identified as Bharati Mukhi of Bantaligada village in Rairangpur area of Mayurbhanj district. She was working as a sales executive at the Lifestyle store inside Inorbit Mall in Madhapur.

According to reports, Bharati and one of her colleagues had reportedly gone outside the mall to get food around 3 PM on August 16. While returning to the mall she was hit by the car of Lingamaneni Sanjush while attempting to cross the road.

As Bharati sustained severe head injuries and heavy bleeding she was immediately taken to the nearby Apollo Hospital. But unfortunately doctor declared her dead. Later, Bharati’s body was handed over to her family members after the post-mortem.

On the other hand, Panjala Ashwin Kumar, the manager of the Lifestyle store, lodged a complaint at Madhapur Police station seeking action against the driver. Based on which, police registered a case under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and started an investigation into the matter.

The Aston Martin car, bearing registration number TG-09-G-0666, which was involved in the accident was also seized. However, Sanjush is yet to be arrested as the police said that the offence invoked in the case is bailable and he has been served a notice over matter.

Further probe into the matter is continuing.
