Odisha govt effects IPS reshuffle in IG rank, check details

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Friday effected a minor reshuffle among the Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in the rank of Inspector General (IG) of Police.

According to a notification issued by the Home Department, Himansu Kumar Lal, the I.G. of Police, N.R., Sambalpur, has been appointed as I.G of Police, EOW, BBSR & STF.

Likewise, Satyabrat Bhoi, the I.G. of Police, N.C.R., Talacher and Addl. Charge of Principal, PTC, Anugola, has been posted as the IG of Police, Intelligence.

Similarly, I.G. of Police, Intelligence in Bhubaneswar Jai Narayan Pankaj has been transferred as the IG of Police, SR, Brahmapur.

Niti Shekhar, the current IG of Police, SR, Brahmapur, also has been transferred as the I.G of Police (Prov.), SP Headquarters.

Besides, Charan Singh Meena, the D.I.G. of Police, Provisioning, has been appointed as DIG of Police, NR, Sambalpur while Ashish Kumar Singh, who has joined in Home Department after repatriation from Central Deputation, has been posted as DIG of Police, NCR, Talacher and given the Additional charge of Principal, PTC, Anugola.
