Police busts dacoity gang in Kendrapara, 7 arrested, 10 lakh seized

Aul: The Kendrapara Police have successfully busted an dacoity gang active in the region and arrested seven members on Monday. The police have also seized Rs 10 lakh cash along with stolen gold, silver ornaments and two smartphones from the dacoits.

According to sources, the dacoit gang had recently looted the house of one Pradeep Raout in Khandapatana village under the Aul police limits in Kendrapara district on June 5. They had threatened Pradeep’s family members with a sharp weapon and looted around Rs 25 lakh worth of gold, silver ornaments.

Seven members of the dacoity gang has been arrested along with the seizure of two bikes and three sharp weapons.
