Hyderbad: It’s unlikely that actor Allu Arjun will attend court proceedings personally in a stampede case, registered over a woman’s death and injury to the actor’s nine-year-old son at the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2’ at Sandhya Theatre, on Monday in Hyderabad.
As per reports, his legal team would attend the court proceedings in place of him, officials from his office confirmed. Reports indicate that the actor had requested for a virtual presence in the court which was allegedly denied, asking him to be present physically.
Despite the court’s directive, it is reported that he will not be physically present before it. More details regarding the court’s further directives are yet to be received.
The case involves a stampede during a special show screening of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ held at Sandhya Theatre on December 4, 2024, leading to the death of a woman named Revathi and serious injuries to her nine-year-old son, Sritej.
The court has summoned 19 persons in the case. Police have already filed the charge sheet against 23 individuals. While the Chikkadpally Police have listed Allu Arjun as accused number 11, Sandhya Theatre’s management has been listed as accused numbers 1 to 10.

In a development post the tragic incident, Allu Arjun’s father and producer, Allu Aravind, along with Allu Arjun’s wife, Sneha Reddy had visited young Sritej at his home and met with his family.
Allu Aravind had promised full educational support to Sritej’s younger sister, saying, “Study well, I will bear all the expenses for your education”.
Both the Allu family and the production banner for the film have supported Sritej’s medical expenses since December last year.
Allu Arjun will soon be seen in ‘Raaka,’ directed by Atlee, alongside Deepika Padukone.
