Bhandaripokhari: A Jatra performance turned chaotic in Bhandaripokhari in Bhadrak district of Odisha last night when the audience erupted in protest over an obscene dance by Nisha Maharana. The unruly crowd pelted chairs and shoes at the stage, forcing the organizers to halt the show.

The incident occurred during a performance by the Parvati Gana Natya troupe. Eyewitnesses claim that Maharana’s provocative dance moves crossed the line, sparking outrage among the audience.

The incident has sparked a heated debate on the content of Jatra performances, with many calling for stricter regulations to prevent such incidents in the future.

It is to be noted that this is not for the first time that the audience had to throw chair reacting over the obscene dance of Nisha Maharana. Earlier also, such incidents have been witnessed.
