Puri: Minor boy killed, 2 others critical after Bolero hit scooty on Badadanda

Puri: In a tragic incident a minor boy was killed on the spot while two others sustained critical injury after a bolero hit their scooty in Puri of Odisha today morning. The incident took place at the Balagandi Chhaka on the Badadanda, the grand road of the holy town.

The deceased minor boy has been identified as Shreyansu De under Town Police Station limits.

As per the information received, a man was coming from the Kumutisahi area along with his grandson and another child on a scooty towards the Medical chhaka on Badadanda when a Bolero hit them from the rear side near the Bhakta Salabega temple.

As a result the scooty was dragged till Balagandi Chhaka, resulting in Shreyansu’s death on the spot. Two others were seriously injured and have been admitted to Puri District Headquarter Hospital.

Meanwhile, tension has erupted at the accident site. The accident vehicle has been seized and the driver has been detained at the police station.

Treatment of the two injured persons including a minor, is going on. Police are deployed at the scene.
