10-year-old girl kidnapped, raped, killed by cab driver in Delhi

New Delhi: A brutal act has taken place in which a 10-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped from footpath, raped and killed by a cab driver in Delhi.

As per reports, the parents of the victim girl informed the police around 5 AM in the morning that their daughter has gone missing.

After the complaint, the police immediately started the search operation to find the missing girl and she was reportedly found in a forested area of Mehrauli.

To determine what has happened, police scanned multiple camera of the area in which the girl was regular. During the investigation a cab driver was taken as a suspect in this case. Within few hours the local Delhi police arrested the accused person.

The accused person of the alleged crime is identified as 25-year-old Bablu, who drives an app-based cab in Delhi. Following the arrest, when the accused was interrogated Bablu reportedly confessed his crime to the police.

The accused Bablu said that he kidnapped the girl from the footpath, took her towards Gurugram and raped her. The body of the victim was recovered after the confession in which he also mentioned the location of the girl.

The girl used to live on pavement and sell balloons. Her parents was daily wage labourers in Delhi. They were originally from Bihar. She was not the only child. She had 3 more siblings excluding her.

The police is taking all legal proceedings in this matter and the accused will be punished as heavily as possible due to the crime that he has committed.

Further investigation into this matter is underway.
