CCIK holds meeting to discuss tourism revival
by GK NEWS SERVICE · Greater KashmirSrinagar, Nov 27: The Chamber of Commerce and Industries Kashmir (CCIK) convened a significant meeting to discuss the revival of tourism in Kashmir for the upcoming season.
The agenda included plans for extensive advertising campaigns, organising a grand tourism festival, conducting roadshows, and inviting renowned celebrities to promote Kashmir as a premier travel destination, said a press release.
The meeting witnessed the participation of all major stakeholders, including travel agents from across Kashmir, the Houseboat Owners Association, Shikara Association, tourism transporters, restaurant owners, and hoteliers from Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Doodhpathri. It was one of the largest gatherings held under the banner of CCIK for tourism revival. During the meeting, it was decided that a detailed memorandum will be prepared and sent to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Lieutenant Governor’s Office. A joint delegation will also meet the Union Home Minister and the Prime Minister in December to discuss key issues related to tourism development. CCIK further announced that a grand tourism festival will be celebrated to boost tourism, followed by dedicated promotional activities.
