Minority Affairs ministry reviews arrangements for Ajmer Urs
by GK NEWS SERVICE · Greater KashmirNew Delhi, Dec 13: The Ministry of Minority Affairs reviewed preparations for the 814th Urs of Dargah Khwaja Saheb in Ajmer, Rajasthan, which is scheduled to begin on December 17, 2025.
The review focused on arrangements for the safety, security and convenience of pilgrims expected to visit the shrine during the Urs.
Officials stressed the need for close coordination among all concerned agencies to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the event.
Key preparations discussed included installation of CCTV cameras, availability of drinking water and toilets, parking facilities, hygiene and cleanliness, crowd management and removal of stray animals from the Dargah area.
The district administration said all necessary measures were being put in place and departments had been directed to remain fully prepared. Ministry officials also visited the Ashray Sthali, a temporary accommodation facility being set up on the outskirts of Ajmer, to review arrangements for pilgrims.
The ministry expressed satisfaction with the preparedness and emphasised continuous monitoring during the Urs.
