Veer Bal Diwas to be observed nationally on December 26; President to confer Bal Puraskar

New Delhi, Dec 25: The Ministry of Women and Child Development will observe Veer Bal Diwas at the national level on December 26 to commemorate the courage, sacrifice, and exemplary values of India’s young heroes. On the same day, the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) will be conferred on children who have shown outstanding achievements in diverse fields. In 2025, 20 children from 18 States and Union Territories have been selected for the prestigious national award, which recognises excellence in bravery, art and culture, environment, social service, science and technology, and sports. The awards will be presented by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

The national-level Veer Bal Diwas programme will be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, and will be graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will address children and youth.

Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi will deliver the welcome address. The event will feature participation from schoolchildren, awardees, and dignitaries, along with cultural performances highlighting India’s heritage and spirit of bravery.
