Three injured in road accident at Mughal Maidan in J-K’s Kishtwar - Greater Kashmir

Srinagar Oct 27: Three people were injured after their vehicle met an accident Sunday afternoon  at Mughal Maidaan in J-K’s Kishtwar, reports said.

The injured were rushed to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Chhatroo for necessary medical treatment, they said.

   

Following the accident, Member Parliament and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh expressed his concern.

“I just spoke to DC Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan after learning about the road accident at Mugal Maidan. Three injured individuals have been shifted to SDH Chhatroo,” he said as per news agency KINS.

The Union Minister said, the administration is working on a “comprehensive road safety plan that incorporates the latest technologies.”

“This includes radar surveillance, 100% camera installation in commercial vehicles, regular fitness checks of vehicles, and the identification and rectification of black spots on roads. Additionally, we are focusing on the installation of crash barriers and road signals, as well as strict traffic regulations, including checks on overloading.”
