Govt holds APM ahead of winter session of Parliament
by GK NEWS SERVICE · Greater KashmirNew Delhi, Nov 30: A meeting of leaders from various political parties was held today at the Parliament House Complex in New Delhi ahead of the Winter Session of Parliament 2025.
The Winter Session will begin on 1st December and is scheduled to run until 19th December, with 15 sittings over 19 days, subject to government business.
The government has tentatively listed 14 legislative and other items for consideration.
The meeting, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, was convened by Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju.
A total of 50 leaders from 36 political parties, including Union Ministers, attended the discussions.
Union Health and Family Welfare Minister and Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha, Jagat Prakash Nadda; Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal; and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and I&B, L Murugan, were also present. Rajnath Singh welcomed the leaders and Rijiju briefed them on the upcoming session.
Rijiju said the government is prepared to discuss any important issue as per the rules of both Houses.
Party leaders shared their views and flagged subjects likely to be raised during the session, assuring their cooperation in ensuring smooth proceedings.
The meeting concluded with Rajnath Singh and Kiren Rijiju thanking all participants for their contribution and support.
