Bangarpet Congress MLA SN Narayanaswamy has alleged that he was threatened by fellow party MLA Roopakala Shashidhar during the Karnataka Assembly session, bringing into sharp focus the political differences among Congress leaders from the Kolar region.

We never spoke about Roopakala madam and we are not that big to talk about her, because my father is not an MLA, I am not someone who come from a political family. We don't have the strength to talk about them. She came, banged the table in front of me. She said she will deal with me, I am scared, because her father (KH Muniyappa) has already finished us once, now such words are coming from her mouth," Narayanaswamy said.
