Hour-by-hour Met Office forecast amid snow and ice warning in Nottingham
by Louis Corbett · NottinghamshireLiveThe Met Office has issued a weather warning for snow and ice affecting Nottingham and the wider East Midlands. The weather alert is in place from 7pm on Monday, November 18, until 10am on Tuesday, November 19, during which almost 12 hours of continuous sleet is expected.
The Met Office warns: "There is a small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected. A small chance that untreated pavements and cycle paths become impassable. There is a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off."
According to the latest Met Office forecast for Monday, temperatures are expected to dip and drop to freezing by 8pm in Nottingham. The first half of the day has been given out to be largely cloudy and dry with some sunny intervals.
