MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections yesterday urged eligible voters to beat the May 18 deadline of registration for the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
“The deadline is on Monday. Our reminder to those who have not yet registered: there will be no extension,” Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said.

“We are reminding our kababayans: whether new voters, those who would like to transfer registration, those who want their registration reactivated or those who would have certain details in their registration changed, these can be done only until May 18,” Garcia added.

During voter registration, the poll body said it is also ready to assist in updating records of persons with disability, senior citizens, members of indigenous peoples and indigenous cultural communities and vulnerable sectors.

Applicants may register at any satellite or mall registration sites or at the office of the election officer.

Latest data released by the Comelec showed a total of 4,740,551 applications for voter registration.

The BSKE will be held on Nov. 2.
