Nancy Guthrie update: Pima County’s handling of her case and another raises fresh questions
by By Hassan Sohail · The News InternationalAs Nancy Guthrie's investigation is ongoing, a separate search is underway for two suspects gunning down a police recruit and his fiancée, a corrections officer, in Tucson.
Detectives from the Pima County Sheriff's Department identified the suspect's vehicle as a 2007–2013 Acura MDX, possibly missing its fuel door.
Pouncing on the update, YouTuber star Jonathann Lee Riches, aka JLRInvestigationn, took a dig at the department, which is also investigating Nancy's disapperance.
The true-crime reporter covered the case of anchor Savannah Guthrie's mom extensively.
So, in the same vein, Riches took to X to write a scathing tweet, asking how the authorities have not shared details of the vehicle involved in Nancy's disappearance.
Still, in a separate case, they quickly identified it.
"So Pima County Sheriff's was able to quickly identify a vehicle involved in this morning's home invasion/murder, but still no vehicle description in the Nancy Guthie kidnapping," he penned.
'Riches' remarks echo frustration with how authorities have handled the case, which has not yet produced a suspect and has now entered its sixth month.
Savannah, on the other hand, turned to pleas to get her mom back or even any information about her.
In a recent video message on Instagram, she said, "Help us bring this situation to an end. For all of us, no matter where we’ve been and what we’ve done, I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice."
Nancy has been missing since Feb 1 from her home near Tucosn, Arizona.
