BREAKING: Assembly speaker, Danladi- Salihu, is Kwara APC candidate

The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has emerged as the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The chairman of the APC Supervisory Committee for the governorship primary, Musliu Obanikoro, on Friday, declared Mr Danladi-Salihu the winner of the primary.

The exercise had been rescheduled from Thursday to Friday.

Mr Obanikoro said Mr Danladi-Salihu scored 94,990 votes, beating eight other aspirants who participated in the exercise.
