Russia has sentenced eight men to life imprisonment for a bomb attack on the Kerch Bridge. Meanwhile, Germany's Merz is hosting the Estonian PM to discuss security on NATO's east flank. DW has more.

Eight men have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2022 truck bomb that damaged the Kerch bridge connecting Russian-occupied Crimea to the Russian mainland.

Ukrainian secret services claimed responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is set to discuss NATO's eastern flank with his Estonian counterpart in Berlin.
