Fresno Police detectives and Central California ICAC Taskforce arrested 37-year-old Ray Anthony Waller on Thursday and booked him into Fresno County Jail.

Bullard principal Armen Torigian sent an email to the school’s parents about the arrest.

”I am writing to inform you that one of our staff members was arrested on Thursday evening by the Fresno Police Department. Immediately upon learning of the situation, we placed the teacher on administrative leave. The Fresno Police Department is leading the investigation into the allegations of inappropriate behavior with a minor. At this time, we are unable to share any additional details, as the investigation is ongoing.”

Torigian added “please be assured that Fresno Unified School District takes these allegations very seriously and will fully cooperate with local law enforcement throughout the investigation.”

Police said the case is an ongoing investigation and detectives believe there may be additional victims.

Fresno Unified said in an email to The Bee that Torigian and the school site are focused on supporting students, families and staff during this time.

“We are most concerned with the well being of our Bullard community and want all students, families, and staff know we are here to support them and they can reach out to the school or directly through this link to request social emotional supports,” Fresno Unified wrote.
