New Jersey has imposed a mandatory statewide travel restriction as a major winter storm is underway,

The restriction, issued by the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, will be in effect from 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, through 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23. During that time, all nonexempt vehicles are prohibited from traveling on state, county, municipal and interstate roadways. The New Jersey Turnpike is exempt.
