Warped Tour Founder Break Silence And Confirms The Festival Is Returning In 2025

After reports indicating that Warped Tour was returning in 2025 for a 30th anniversary tour, the festival's founder Kevin Lyman has now confirmed that there are in fact plans to bring the festival back next year. The initial reports had Lyman involved in the festival’s return in some facet, however it’s said that Live Nation is now overseeing the festival for the first time in Warped Tour’s history. While the reports didn’t have any quotes or broader details regarding the festivals return, Kevin Lyman has now broken his silence on the matter after briefly speaking with Pollstar this week.

“We have something cooking for 2025. Details should be ready in a few weeks,” Lyman told Pollstar. Certainly Lyman’s statement is brief but it does confirm the reports from last week, and fans can now look forward to Warped Tour’s 2025 return. However, as far as more “details” coming out in the next few weeks, Lyman’s comments don’t indicate the substance of these “details.” It could be everything from the full lineup and dates for Warped Tour 2025 or simply an official announcement with a few specific dates and no lineup reveal. All is up in the air, but if one thing is for certain it’s that Warped Tour will most definitely be returning in the summer keeping in line with tradition.

Provided it’s a summer festival, the timing of fall announcement would make sense as it’s typical for massive summer festivals and tours to be announced well in advanced like this. Oasis for instance announced their reunion shows nearly a year in advance, and as far as the public knows their U.K. and Ireland dates are their earliest reunion shows slated for next year.

However, whenever Warped Tour is announced it’ll be interesting to see how ticket prices fair considering Live Nation is reportedly now involved in the festivals revival. Fans have already voiced their concerns that Live Nation’s involvement could make Warped Tour tickets pricier than in years past. Traditionally Warped Tour had fairly low entry cost for concert goers which felt in line with the festival’s DIY and counterculture embrace. However, if that is to change with Live Nation’s involvement, it’ll be all the more interesting to see how fans react to Warped Tour’s ambitious return.
