Centre Appoints 14 Judicial Officers To Four High Courts

NEW DELHI, Sept 19: The Central Government on Saturday notified the appointment of 14 judicial officers as judges and additional judges to the High Courts of Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Jharkhand and Karnataka.

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced the appointments on X, stating that the appointments were made by the President in exercise of powers conferred by the Constitution after consultation with the Chief Justice of India.

Nivedita Anil Sharma and Nisha Sahay Saxena have been appointed as Judges of the Delhi High Court, while Sanjay Sharma, Bharat Parashar, Aditi Choudhary, Dinesh Bhatt and Arun Bhardwaj have been appointed as Additional Judges of the Delhi High Court.

Judicial Officer Yashpal Bourney has been appointed as a Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Manoj Prasad, Akhil Kumar and Ram Sharma have been appointed as Judges of the Jharkhand High Court.

The appointments to the Karnataka High Court include Usha Rani, KS Bharath Kumar and Nerale V Bhavnani, who have been appointed as Additional Judges.

The appointments were notified by the Union Government following the prescribed constitutional process for appointment of judges to the High Courts.
