RTCREA stages protest, highlight demands

Jammu Tawi: President of Retired Employees Association Jammu & Kashmir (REA) Romesh Singh Bhau led a protest near Maharaja Hari Singh Park Jammu here today.  While addressing the protestors, Romesh criticized the behaviour of Finance Department and Transport Higher Authority towards the retired employees, as till date they have not released the pending dues of COLA arrears, 6th Pay Commission arrears and DA arrears and the bills for the same are complete and are lying in the Civil Sectt. Jammu since long but not released till date. He further added, “We are unnecessarily harassed by both the departments i.e Finance Deptt and Transport Department. We therefore request to Hon'ble Chief Minister Jenab Omer Abdullah to please intervene into the issue so that our pending dues be released at the earliest.” Prominent among others who participated in the protest are Allah Rakha, Gopal Choudhary, Rajinder Sawhney, Ram Paul, Krishan Singh.
