Hyderabad, Dec 13: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Saturday said the Indian Armed Forces are committed to adapting to a rapidly changing warfare environment and implementing reforms to remain operationally ready and relevant, as global conflict dynamics stand on the brink of a major transformation.

Addressing the Combined Graduation Parade of the 216 Course at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal, General Chauhan said India’s strength is anchored in strong institutions, democratic stability and the unwavering professionalism of its Armed Forces. He noted that while the intensity of operations may have reduced, Operation Sindhur continues as part of a new normal marked by round-the-clock operational preparedness.

The CDS said the newly commissioned officers are joining the Indian Air Force at a time of deep transformation within the Armed Forces. He highlighted that integrated structures, joint operations and the national drive towards Atmanirbhar Bharat in defence are shaping the future of India’s military capability.

Explaining the guiding principle of “Jai,” the first word of “Jai Hind,” General Chauhan said ‘J’ represents jointness, ‘A’ stands for Atmanirbhar Bharat with trusted indigenous platforms, and ‘I’ signifies innovation and staying ahead of the curve.

He further observed that while traditional battle domains will remain contested and brutal, future conflicts in emerging domains will be smarter, faster and driven by intellect, innovation and initiative, with mastery of new frontiers determining success. (Agencies)
