Major Landslide Blocks Doda–Kishtwar Road, Traffic Suspended

Srinagar, May 2: Traffic on the Doda–Kishtwar road was suspended on Saturday after a major landslide struck Gatsoo near Pul Doda, causing a complete blockage of the route, officials said.

According to a traffic police official, the landslide occurred early in the morning, halting vehicular movement along the crucial stretch and disrupting connectivity between the two districts.

Authorities have deployed men and machinery to clear the debris, but restoration of traffic is expected to take time due to the scale of the landslide.

Commuters have been advised to avoid traveling on the Doda–Kishtwar road until clearance operations are completed and traffic resumes.
