J&K Govt Sets Up Panel to Review Lecturer Cadre Strength in Schools
by Northlines · NorthlinesJammu, Jul 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a high-level committee to review the discipline-wise cadre strength of Lecturers in the School Education Department and recommend measures for rationalization based on current academic requirements.
According to an official order, the committee will be headed by the Director, School Education, Jammu, and has been tasked with examining the exact number of sanctioned lecturer posts across various disciplines.
The panel will assess the actual requirement of subject-wise lecturer posts in government schools based on institutional needs and recommend rationalization of the existing cadre in line with emerging academic and technological demands.
It will also review the requirement of language teachers, taking regional needs into account, and identify posts required for vocational subjects to strengthen skill-based education.
The committee has been directed to submit its report, along with specific recommendations, to the Government within 30 days from the date of issuance of the order.
