J&K Govt Sanctions Rs 15.20 Lakh Grant for AYUSH Boards

SRINAGAR, Aug 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has sanctioned Rs 15.20 lakh as Grant-in-Aid to the concerned AYUSH Boards for the financial year 2026-27, with the amount to be released through the Director, AYUSH, J&K.

The sanction was issued by the Health and Medical Education Department through Government Order No. 642-JK(HME) of 2026, dated August 21, 2026, under S.O. 157 of 2026 issued on June 5, 2026.

As per the order, the sanctioned amount will be drawn in advance by the Director, AYUSH, J&K, and subsequently disbursed to the concerned AYUSH Boards under the relevant Detailed Heads.

The government has directed that the funds be utilised strictly for the purposes for which they have been sanctioned and in accordance with applicable rules, guidelines and approved provisions.

The Director, AYUSH, J&K, has been entrusted with ensuring compliance with financial rules, codal formalities and instructions issued by the Finance Department and the Government.

The department has also been directed to maintain proper accounts of the funds drawn and utilised and submit the required Utilisation Certificate or Statement of Expenditure within the prescribed period.

The sanction is part of the government’s financial support to the AYUSH sector in Jammu and Kashmir during the current financial year. (Agencies)
