JAMMU Tawi, May 24: The heat in the politics of the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) is now at all-time high since the formation of National Conference (NC) led government here in 2024 after the statement of the Leader of Opposition (LoP), Sunil Sharm that this government won’t last long.

Following this, the former J&K BJP President and National Executive member, Ravinder Raina also stated that he has a solid proof of corruption in the NC led government of the J&K UT.

In the backdrop of all these political developments and statements and counter statements, the top BJP leadership of J&K has been camping in Kashmir since the last more than a week under ‘Kashmir mission’, highly placed sources said.

These BJP leaders include, J&K Unit president, General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, LoP Sunil Sharma, Ravinder Raina and also some General Secretaries of the J&K BJP camping in Kashmir, have been assigned different duties for Kashmir by the party high command.

Raina also met Sheikh Rashid to condole the demise of his father. A few days back, the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, in response to a question regarding rift in the NC, had said, “There is no Shinde in NC”.

It may be mentioned that Shinde was part of Shiv Sena in Maharashtra but he split the party and became the Chief Minister of Maharshtra with the help of BJP.

The LOP had recently stated that the CM has been on foreign tours and he will lodge a missing complaint. In response to this, the Dy CM said that the LOP was also missing in the last Assembly session.

This all means that political temperature is going to rise in the days to come.
